UNDERAGE MARRIAGE - Why it matters?

Underage marriage remains a significant issue in Vietnam, particularly among girls in rural and ethnic minority communities. According to data from the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) conducted in 2014, 11% of women aged 20-24 were married or in a union before the age of 18, and 1% before the age of 15.
At The Sheltering, our mission is to raise awareness about the issue of underage marriage in remote areas of Vietnam. We are dedicated to providing a platform for sharing stories, information, and experiences related to this important topic. Through our work, we aim to foster a community that advocates for change and empowers those affected by underage marriage.
